Mitchell Harris Rosé 2010

With the weather finally picking up, it's the perfect time to get our newest addition to the Mitchell Harris family out on the bars and tables. And now the 2010 Mitchell Harris Rosé is here!

Created as part of our sparkling winemaking, we put aside one barrel of Macedon Ranges Pinot Noir
pressings for barrel fermentation and further maturation. The Pinot Noir was picked early for use in sparkling, so retains the zingy freshness of the cool climate Macedon vineyard.

Inspired by the dry, savoury, crisp & delightfully moreish rosé wines of southern France, Spain and modern versions of the new world, we took off one barrel of ‘saignée’ (or bleed) from our Sangiovese after crushing, as the second, savoury component of the first Mitchell Harris’ Rosé. Sourced from the Landsborough Valley in the Pyrenees, the Sangiovese lends some structure and dryness to our Rosé blend.

The two barrels mesh seamlessly to deliver a vibrant and enticing wine with great zip and verve, and it'll quickly disappear from tables and bars this summer!

Don't forget to look out for the Rosé Revolution, promoting great Aussie Rosé, leading up to 30th November...
